Convinced of the importance of participating in the implementation of Président Zine El Abiddine Ben Ali's future programs relative to the diffusion of the numeric culture and the establishment of the knowledge society and in the frame of the celebration of the National day of Associations for the year 2007, the Tunisian Association for Universal Services endeavours to launch the following initiatives:
The implementation of the Numeric Village project in El Fahs :
This pilote Project aims to connect the region of El Fahs in the governorate of Zaghouan to the internet web by using the WIMAX technique and make it possible for hospitals, educational and cultural institutions as well as economic projects of the region to install the required equipments for their connection to this web and thus provide modern services corresponding to the needs of the different concerned categories, help to enlarge the spreading of the numeric development opportunities to all the regions of the Republic , to develop employment mainly for the universities graduated and to reduce the numeric gap between regions according Tunisia's engagement and work plan as announced in the World Summit of the Numeric Society in November 2005. For the realisation of this Project, the Tunisian Association for Universal Services counts on an effective participation of Tunisian associations to find the necessary funds to realize similar projects inside the Republic.
Implementation of a Children's Club in hospital institutions :
Computers and printers are offered to hospitals lodging children in order to give these children the opportunity to continue their studies by using compact discs, to train them on the use of information and communication technology peripheral appliances and to provide them with games and leisure programs allowing the child's integration in his surrounding environment. This Project has been realized with the participation of an economic institution.
Implementation of a Club to train children and youth to use information and communication technologies:
